The Northshore Food Bank celebrated 40 years of serving the northshore community on April 21 at the facility’s warehouse in Covington. The party had something for everyone, including a children's fun zone, activities for seniors, food and drinks, community resources, giveaways, gift cards, health screenings and more. The NFB provides food assistance to more than 400 individuals and families each week who live at or below the 130% federal poverty guidelines. The bank is supported by food drives held by individuals, schools, civic organizations and businesses, as well as monetary donations and Second Harvest donations.
